Raising student achievement is no easy task.  It is very complex with many variables and requires an integrated system that provides constant feedback on various processes.  We will be discussing various strategies that will have a dramatic impact on raising student achievement.

Strategy #1

Align Instruction to learning Standards.  The research shows that having learning expectations clearly defined and are aligned to standards will have a significant, positive impact on student achievement.  The research also stresses having a guaranteed and viable curriculum, the opportunity to learn and time to learn, both have a strong correlation with academic achievement.
