The Solution: Streamlining Open Lunch with Partners4Results
We developed an efficient, automated solution for the district’s Open Lunch program by leveraging our communication module, hand-held scanner interface, and web-based tools. Key features included:

Parent permission management: Parents receive an email at the start of the school year requesting permission for their child to participate. Permissions could be submitted online or via hard copy.

Real-time eligibility checks: The system integrated with PowerSchool to pull grades, credits, and permissions. A weekly application automatically evaluated eligibility on Fridays at 7 AM and sent personalized emails to students and parents, detailing eligibility status and reasons for ineligibility if applicable.

Badge scanning for accountability: Students scan their ID badges when leaving and returning to campus. Time stamps are logged, and an audible/visual alert notified staff if an ineligible student attempted to leave.

Comprehensive reporting: District staff can review detailed logs of students’ departure and return times to ensure compliance and accountability.
